Note for Haloscan Users: Haloscan started (the end of July) rejecting trackbacks if they were submitted “too rapidly” by the same host. I don’t know what the timer is but it is long enough so that it was very difficult to ping everyone that is using Haloscan for trackbacks. I’m sure that they are doing this to try to hold back the tide of trackback spam but it makes the service pretty useless for carnival type posts. Perhaps you can contact them and urge some different solution. Update: Typepad appears to be doing the same thing. Everytime I update the Ark it appears the timers are reset and the long list of MT autogenerated pings fail. Yecchhhh….
It’s that time of the year to…

At long last we are getting wet weather, the dogs get out, and run off, but when we are together we stop along the way.

Hi,
The “Moments Before the Incident” picture is a kitty picture. Fortunately, after she thawked the insects, they didn’t attack. They aren’t bees.
FWIW…
Thanks for the great job you continue to do here.

I’m fairly certain that there is nothing as adorable as kittens. They’re all grown up now, but I still think the pictures of my sister’s Bubba and Lou at that age are about the cutest things I’ve ever seen. Saccharine overdose…. You want the Friday A…

Friday Creature
I’m not at all sure what kind of bird this is because it’s a European variety (yet more photos from Austria), but I’m going to guess that it’s a blue tit. Can anyone confirm or correct?I’m so glad it’s Friday….
