Watching for Sign

Hmmm...perhaps the DA will be watching Tyco jurer #4 for signs of ill earned income. The Talking Dog suggests that there might be reason:

Dennis Koslowski and Mark Swartz of the Tyco Corporation, who bought themselves a mistrial today after 11 unfruitful days of jury deliberations. And when I say bought a mistrial, let me just say I mean EXACTLY that-- "J'Accuse", and leave it at that.=; Juror No. 4, a 60-something retired schoolteacher who went to law school in her 50's, flashed the "OK" sign to the defense table, to signify that the brown paper bag arrived where it was supposed to (this is all on information and belief, and IMHO; I have no idea HOW Koslowski and company managed to get the juror to side with them-- maybe they even did it with their case;...
Thieves of all kinds need to spend their time in jail and pay back their victims. Too bad these guys probably won't live long enough to make restitution...it'd take more then a few life times to earn the $600,000,000 legitimately.

Yeah, in a similar vein, I found this article over at http://www.techcentralstation.com/040104F.html, entitled of all things: Jamie Olis's Tragedy, And Ours

""On Thursday, a 38-year-old Korean immigrant named Jamie Olis, with a wife and a six-month-old daughter, was sentenced to 24 years in prison for his role in a complex scheme to hide the difficulties of the company where he worked as a mid-level executive.

It was a brutal punishment for a relatively minor crime. The Associated Press, noting that Olis reaped no personal gain, called the sentence 'jaw-dropping.' Since there is no parole in federal cases, he will have to serve at least 20 years."

And this is what got me: ":The sentence -- the result of a recent stiffening of federal guidelines -- was out of all proportion. By comparison, the median term for murder is 13 years; for drug trafficking, four years; sexual abuse, three years."

It's a sob story about a thief who got caught! I go into it in detail at my site in a post from Apr 1 (sorry, still haven't learned how to link directly to individual posts). Anyway, I hope we re-try these bastards. And, I really would like to know what was up with juror #4. Maybe through constant public scrutiney we can break her, and add some misdeeds to the charges.
