Firefox Instability
Firefox has crashed 4 or 5 times in the few weeks since I upgraded to 1.5.0.1 which is 4 or 5 more crashes than in the previous year.
What's goin' on?
Posted by Steve on February 12, 2006I haven't had a single failure of any kind, even with cats occasionally walking across the keyboard.
I'm running XP with the standard media plug-ins, FireFTP, and Russ Key plug-ins.
I do have quite a few extensions loaded. It is possible that it is one of the more recent additions that is causing the problem.
The newest Firefox has been rock-solid for me. I think it probably *is* an extension issue -
First make sure that you're running the latest versions of all extensions.
After that, if you're still having stability problems, remove ALL extensions and then add them back one at a time until the instability returns... and there's your (likely) culprit...
