Note for Haloscan Users:
Over the past month or so Haloscan started (the end of July) handling of trackbacks has improved though it is still pretty broken for carnival type posts. Now, instead of rejecting every attempt to ping it accepts single pings for a while and then will start rejecting them. I will keep trying to track back to Haloscan boarders but can make no guarantees for any particular week.
Note for Typepad Users:
Typepad continues to behave similar to Haloscan for trackbacks. I been able to get trackbacks to most, if not all, Typepad based boarders. I have to do it one at a time and wait a while in between pings but Typepad does not go into semi-permanent rejection mode like Haloscan.
Ask the Agony Cats
Dear AgonyCats: I am a 14 year old cat that lives with two small dogs. I get along fine with them and we even all sleep on our person’s bed together. My question is, why do these canines sniff under my tail whenever they get a chance? I would never do …
FUZZY FRIDAY
Having spent some years in Modulation,
The Modulator takes up his station
As Commander of the Friday Ark
Navigating his ship through Light and Dark.
Good beginning of a grey Friday here in Belgium, ‘coz we’re on tops… albeit with the wrong name. Oopsie… it’s House of Chaos dear one, I doubt the House of the (Mostly) Black Cats harbours 2 white&gingers. ;-P
Carnivalia, and an open thread
It’s Friday! I have no classes today, so this is the day where I desperately struggle to catch up with the backlog; it also happens to be the day we’re hosting a party at our house (you’re invited: 5:30, my…

Hot Dogs and Wet Cats
Why is it that long weekends are so short? Anyway, it was hot in SoCal this weekend, but then again we Californians live in such a narrow band of weather types that we are claim we are freezing at 62°,…
Spring came and now it seems to have left us. Dexter is not keen on going out these days, but nothing would stop Sasha. Still, Sasha and Dexter were out as Spring Leaves. We also heard that Merlin who worked with the Australian army finding mines was killed in an accident in Afghanistan.
Friday Bug
Here is some sort of insect from Slovenia. I forgot I had so many Friday Creatures waiting in the wings from that trip, so expect some more Swiss, Italian and Slovenian creatures in the next few weeks while I…

Comfy?
Zzzz…..
[Editor: I have a hard time believing the places and positions Excise can sleep in. Even when he pushes stuff off of shelves, it certainly doesn’t make for a comfortable bed.]
Friday Ark

Here’s my Friday post, about a beautiful leopard slug. “I never thought I’d say this”.

Friday Exotic Cow Blogging
Horns? What horns? This Ankole cow at Longleat was smiling as we passed in our car. They’re very striking looking, but I was a little nervous of those horns. A few days later, we were watching The Last King of

Outside Kittycat
Taking a break, was out in the yard earlier attempting to trim a bush which didn’t go so well. I lasted all of five minutes. So, time for a pretty outdoor shot. Meowza of course.
It’s nice when they go outside, quieter too. No cat pee on t…

The Gigolokitty is BACK!

iScratch
What’s the first thing a cat does when he goes outside? This cat scratches. Not enough skritches for me, never enough so I have to do it myself.

Feline Not-quite-Friday: Always watching
Sergei is always watching, whether it be Miss Lyra (whom he adores in the clumsy way of a teenage boy), a bug on the wall (which he will likely catch and eat), or something out the window (about which he may comment… or perhaps not). When I have…
Got Claws?

Friday Creature
Yet another butterfly from the Tennessee Aquarium’s butterfly exhibit. It’s a busy morning, folks! I’m back on by feet (after being felled by a bug earlier in the week! no kidding!), so I’ve got tons of stuff to catch up…
